Paris Day 2

In Paris, the Louvre was a "must see" in my list of places to visit. rif and I took the metro to Palais-Royal-Musée du Louvre station. It was so difficult understanding the French and they weren't exactly helpful.

When we got there at 9.30am, there was already quite a crowd. The entrance fee was €9 and the audio guide cost €6. I always thought the Mona Lisa was a large painting.

The really tiny Mona Lisa
When I saw it up close, it was very small...and there were soooo many people crowding around that area so I didn't get a good picture of it. Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" was really beautiful. We were not allowed to take any pictures though. :(

Inside the Louvre

After the Louvre, we went to Notre-Dame. I don't get the weather in Europe. It can be really hot and sunny one minute...and cold and windy the next. It was no fun putting on and taking off my jacket every 30mins.
Went to Eiffel Tower after that. Walked to Champs de Mars to look at the tower from far. The queue to enter the tower was freaking long!! We queued for almost 1 and a half hours...and while lining up, I noticed how fashionable the French people were. They were always well-dressed and stylish, even the men. Made me feel like a slob... :(
